Here I hope to explain clearly how to insert music into a Power Point Show so that it will play at the end when you send your finished file to a friend. I searched for months for a clear method and by following many tutorials eventually succeeded but it was a difficult path and I hope this will be easier to follow.
1. Always keep everything together in one file - photographs and music otherwise the program will not be able to find the music.
2. Always use a wav file - any other form of music file will not play in a Power Point Show
3. You can convert most MP3'S easily with a wonderful free program called CDex. There is another tutorial here on how to use CDex to convert your MP3 file. CDex Tutorial. If you don't have CDex already the url to their site is here: CDex
4. Open up Power Point and choose 'Slide Show' from the top menu.
5 Click 'Set up Show'
Make sure these boxes have a dot in them and click 'OK' at the bottom.
Now insert your music by clicking 'Insert','Sound from File' as in the following picture:
