Here I hope to explain clearly how to make a transparent gif quickly and easily. This is the small kind of gif which you can make float around the page like you see here. If you would like to use this small rose tube ready made you can download the zip file here. Just unzip it to your tubes folder and then proceed as follows: Small Rose Tube
1. Open up your PSP program - I use PSP 7 but you can adapt this for other versions. The basics are the same.
2. Create a new image of 100 x 100 pixels. This will be too big but we can make it smaller later.

3. Make a new layer open up your tubes and then click to insert your chosen tube which should be set at 10 in your tool options.
4. With your marching ants still around your rose graphic go to 'Image' and choose 'Crop to Selection'
5. Then choose 'Effects' and select 'Sharpen'
